Nearly Half of Poll Respondents Say Biden ‘Getting Worse as President’

The Harvard-Harris Poll reported in April that a majority of people think Joe Biden is becoming worse as President.

How would you rate Joe Biden’s performance as president: improving, becoming worse, or has it been the same? That was the question posed in the poll.

A total of 1,961 eligible voters were polled between April 24 and 25, 2024. The margin of error is within plus or minus 2%.

While 29% think Biden has gotten better as president, 47% think he is getting worse.  Twenty-four percent think he is the same.

While 55% of Democrats think Biden is doing a better job as president, 76% of Republicans and 52% of independents think he is actively becoming worse.

Additionally, 52% of whites, 34% of blacks, 38% of Hispanics, and 36% of Asians think Biden is actively becoming worse as president, according to the study.

64% of respondents think Biden’s public gaffes are happening more often, while 26% think they’re happening less.

Concerns about Biden’s mental health and advanced age persist among voters. 55% of those who took the survey expressed reservations about Biden’s mental health. Additionally, 26% of Democrats, 80% of Republicans, and 62% of independents question Biden’s mental health.

In addition, 34% of Democrats, 77% of independents, and 91% of Republicans think Biden is proving he is too elderly to be president.  66% of the general population shares this view.

Biden claimed last December that Ronald Reagan had sent Marine One to transport him to Walter Reed after Biden’s brain aneurysm in the early 1980s. The statement was false.

In February 2024, Biden forgot what year it was.  When asked what his 2024 agenda was by a television show host, Biden said his 2020 agenda was to finish the job.

Last month, Biden sent a strong rebuke to the Israeli government, urging them not to attack Haifa. Haifa is a metropolitan area of Israel.

Biden should have said Rafah, not Haifa.

Additionally, he said that Delaware’s small size is the reason the state has never produced a senator. Since his initial election to the US Senate in 1972, Biden has been the longest-serving senator from Delaware. He was reelected five times.
