A report says that Fox News host Sean Hannity held a town hall interview with Trump, during which the president was asked about reports from CNN that the office of Special Counsel Jack Smith had received a recording of Trump allegedly admitting to possessing classified Pentagon material at a meeting in 2021, but being unable to show it to others present due to his lack of authority for declassifying the document.
According to the story, Trump can be heard wishing he had released the secret study concerning a strike on Iran before leaving office in January 2021.
Trump said he didn’t know anything about the supposed recording, but he knew that everything he did was right. The Presidential Records Act was in place throughout his presidency, and he followed it to a tee.
Trump then said that former Vice President Joe Biden took 1,850 boxes containing classified documents, which he was not supposed to have.
According to a report, President Joe Biden revealed in January that classified papers were found in the garage at his Delaware residence, but he could not provide any context for their presence. When asked why he had the papers in his possession, Biden would not elaborate on the investigation’s status.
According to 74 pages of emails disclosed by the National Archives in February, a lawyer for the Archives worked with President Joe Biden’s lawyers to acquire classified papers obtained from the Penn Biden Center in a covert operation in order to avoid public disclosure until after the 2022 midterm elections.
The earliest disclosures of the Biden secret document issue were allegedly covered up by the Archives at the direction of the Department of Justice (DOJ) or the White House, as stated by House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY).
Reports show that after interviewing Biden’s former assistant Kathy Chung, Chair of the House Oversight Committee James Comer (R-KY) revealed that classified documents were transferred from Biden’s control to the Penn Biden Center in April, where they were retained in an unlocked, unattended closet and was still obtainable to center staff members and potentially others.
