Trump Criticizes Media, Calling Mediapersons ‘Nastiest People on Earth’

Former President Donald Trump lashed out at journalists again this week, labeling them the “nastiest people on Earth” for asking him tough questions and giving softballs to Democratic politicians like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Speaking at a campaign event in Montana, Trump stated that Harris would not speak to the media and that she does not want to engage with the press at all, even though she will only face easy questions.

Trump added that the media industry is “rigged” and “fake news” as they keep on asking irrelevant and easy questions from Democrats. According to the former president, Biden only faces questions like what he had for dinner and which flavor of ice cream he ate.

Montana is a solid red state, with former president Bill Clinton being the last Democratic candidate to win its electoral college votes in 1992. Reportedly, Trump is visiting the state to boost up the candidacy of GOP Senate candidate Tim Sheehy, who is aiming to defeat Democratic incumbent Jon Tester this November.

Trump has always maintained a rocky relationship with the media and has repeatedly called them “fake news” during his first presidential term.

Other top Republicans, including Senator Tom Cotton, also praised Trump for his willingness to face the media while already knowing that he would be asked tough questions, as he also slammed Harris for “hiding” from the press.

Trump’s comments come as Harris successfully avoids any significant and lengthy media interactions. The vice president has not given a single unscripted interview since becoming the official nominee for the Democratic Party.

Liberal media outlets are also hesitant to ask any tough questions from the vice president, particularly about her failure to curb illegal immigration into the United States. In fact, legacy media outlets that once labeled Harris as “Biden’s border Czar” have walked back on their comments in recent times and avoided bringing her failures in front of the public. Some top media organizations have even accused Republicans of giving the title of “border Czar” to Harris, as they claimed that the vice president was never in charge of stopping illegal infiltration in the US.
