Rep. Adam Schiff was mocked on social media after he commented that conservatives want to impeach President Joe Biden without any substantiating evidence, according to Fox News. Conservatives were quick to spot the hypocrisy in Schiff’s remarks, reminding him that for four years he supported impeaching Trump over Russian collusion without any evidence.
Schiff told Fox that conservatives wanting to impeach Biden is indicative of how they “descended into chaos.” He was reportedly responding to the calls from GOP members of Congress to impeach the president over his foreign business dealings with his son. But Schiff was not aware of how his comment would be interpreted by those on the right.
The congressman was the House impeachment manager that supported both impeachments against the former president, which included “obstruction of justice” and “inciting an insurrection.” Schiff also continued to peddle the Russian collusion hoax despite evidence that came out revealing the inauthenticity of the Steele Dossier.
Republican Rep. Doug Collins responded to Schiff calling his remark a “joke.”

Conservative commentator Graham Allen then reminded everyone that Democrats supported impeaching Trump for a phone call he made. Roger Stone also jumped on the bandwagon, suggesting that Schiff should be tried for treason.
Congressional Republicans censured Schiff in June for his unsubstantiated Trump-Russia peddling, making him the third member of the House since 2000.
The former president currently enjoys the majority of support from likely GOP voters in all primary polling. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is second with 15 percent support. Trump is facing three indictments in a concerted Democratic effort to keep him from the presidency in 2024.
The first indictment was brought against him by NYC DA Alvin Bragg for alleged hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels. The second indictment is for his alleged mishandling of classified documents. His most recent indictment is for his alleged role in inciting an insurrection.
