Nikki Haley Claims McConnell Should Know When To Quit

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has called on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to step down in light of recent rumors regarding the senior senator’s health.

“Glitch” McConnell stood motionless for almost twenty seconds during a leadership news conference on Wednesday, which alarmed his colleagues, the press, and observers in the following days.

The senator said later in the week that he was well and will be serving out the remainder of his term. He has tried to calm the fears of his fellow senators, but questions over whether he should quit as leader persist.

Nikki Haley says that she thinks Mitch McConnell has to learn when to back down. She also stated her continued advocacy for term limits, speaking that everyone in politics, including Mitch McConnell, Dianne Feinstein, Joe Biden, and Nancy Pelosi, needs to learn when to cut and run and that the magnitude of the world’s issues necessitates creative solutions.

Haley praised McConnell for his work confirming judges to the Supreme Court and other courts, and then she urged he make way for the rise of a new crop of leaders.

She said it’s time we stopped picking people based on their appearance in publicity shots holding the baby. We are in dire need of new ideas and methods. Haley said term limitations are essential and advocates that a new generation takes over.

When asked whether she thought former President Trump was qualified to head the Republican Party, Haley said everyone should undergo a competency exam.

According to Haley, Republicans have lost the popular vote for president seven of the previous eight times. That’s hardly something that causes one to be brimming with pride. Haley believes we need to work hard to earn the backing of most Americans.

To get there, Haley proclaims, we must start working with the next generation.
