Nancy Pelosi’s January 6th Committee Refused To Look January 6th Footage

(PresidentialDaily.org)- After Fox News host Tucker Carlson released never-before-seen clips from the surveillance footage of the Capitol during the January 6 riot that exposed the dishonesty of the House Select Committee on January 6, the committee’s former chairman admitted that members of the panel never reviewed the footage.

In one segment last Monday, Tucker Carlson highlighted clips that exposed the lies the committee perpetuated during its hearings, including its claims about Brian Sicknick’s death and the committee selectively editing footage of lawmakers being evacuated from the building to make it appear that Missouri Senator Josh Hawley was the only one fleeing the Capitol.

In a Twitter thread on Wednesday, CNN reporter Alayna Treene reported that Jan 6 committee chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) told CNN in a statement that it was staffers employed by the committee that analyzed the surveillance footage from that day.

Thompson said he was not aware of any committee member personally accessing the footage. Instead, Thompson explained, staffers working for the committee were the ones who “went through the video.”

While it may have been an attempt to absolve the House members on the committee of any wrongdoing, Thompson’s admission only makes matters look even worse for the January 6 committee.

Rather than do due diligence to ensure that the evidence the committee was presenting to the country was an exhaustive search for the truth, Thompson is conceding that the committee was only conveying what was initially selected and edited by its underlings.

Last Monday, before Tucker Carlson aired the first round of video clips from the surveillance footage, Thompson released a statement blasting Speaker Kevin McCarthy for allowing Carlson access to the footage, calling it a “dereliction of duty.” He accused McCarthy of disregarding “repeated warnings” that the footage was “sensitive in nature” and should not be given to Carlson, whom Thompson claimed, “spews lies and propaganda.”

But how would Thompson know that the footage was “sensitive in nature” when neither he nor any other member of the January 6 committee ever reviewed it?
