(PresidentialDaily.org)- Just one day before former President Donald Trump falsely claimed that he would be “arrested” on Tuesday, March 21, Stormy Daniels’ former lawyer Michael Avenatti tweeted that there were “critical facts” and additional evidence about the so-called hush money payment to his client that have not been revealed which would “unfortunately” benefit Trump if the case goes to trial.
In another tweet, Avenatti praised Trump attorney Joe Tacopina, whom he said was nothing like former Trump lawyers Rudy Giuliani or Sidney Powell. Avenatti said Tacopina “knows his way around a criminal courtroom” and will likely “destroy” Michael Cohen during cross-examination.
While speaking to reporters on his way to a campaign rally in Waco, Texas on Saturday, former President Trump claimed that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has “already dropped the case” against him, Axios reported. However, Trump didn’t say why he believed the case was dropped.
Trump’s claim comes just one week after he claimed that he would be “arrested” in the case.
A spokesperson for the District Attorney’s Office declined to comment on Trump’s latest claim.
The former president spent most of his campaign speech in Waco complaining about the multiple investigations against him which he described as “phony” witch hunts.
Trump said the investigations are examples of “the weaponization of our justice system,” which he said was the “central issue of our time.”
The former president got into hot water on Friday after warning on Truth Social of “death and destruction” if he faces charges.
In a separate post, Trump shared a photo of himself brandishing a baseball bat beside a second photo of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.
It was reported on Friday that the FBI and NYPD were investigating an envelope containing white powder that was mailed to the Manhattan District Attorney along with a death threat. The powder was not hazardous.
