The 63-year-old was arrested in Texas on a felony assault charge for what authorities describe as “continuous violence against the family.” The incident came to light when his estranged wife, Kate Major Lohan, reported it during a medical examination.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Kate Major was “concerned he was following her” during a medical follow-up appointment. This led to a 911 call, prompting deputies to respond to the scene. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Lohan had allegedly “flipped her out of a chair at their residence a few days earlier,” resulting in visible bruising on Major’s body.

Lohan was arrested at his residence in north Harris County without incident and is currently being held on a $30,000 bond. A court appearance is scheduled for Monday, where he will face the charges brought against him. “On Friday February 21, 2025, the complainant (Kate Lohan) was at a medical follow up, when the defendant (Michael Lohan) was observed by Ms. Lohan in the parking lot of the building. A 911 call was placed, and deputies responded,” A representative for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.
The couple’s relationship has been marred by legal troubles and domestic disputes. They married in 2014 and have two sons together, Landon Major Lohan and Logan Michael Lohan. In 2018, Kate Major filed for divorce and sought sole custody of their children, but the couple withdrew the petition in 2019. Lohan was previously arrested in 2020 for allegedly assaulting Major in Southampton, N.Y.
Michael Lohan’s personal life has been fraught with controversy and legal issues. Prior to his marriage to Kate Major, he was married to Dina Lohan, with whom he shares four children, including actress Lindsay Lohan.
