Donald Trump Jr. Clashes With Reporter, Mocks Obama in Interview

Donald Trump Jr. became irritated when a reporter trashed his father, former President Donald Trump’s immigration policy.

During a live MSNBC interaction on the floor of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jacob Soboroff initially accused Trump of being a polarizing character.

Trump Jr. said that he believes the media sowed discord. Concerning Russia and Russian “collusion,” they continually disseminate false information.

Trump Jr. continued by saying that the nation would greatly benefit if the media started reporting Trump’s accomplishments, such as the peace accords he struck across the globe and the wealth he brought to the country.

But Soboroff was determined to insert some Democrat talking points.

The reporter questioned if measures such as the intentional separation of 5,000 children from their parents would persist under President Trump’s next term.  Just before Soboroff took the microphone away, Trump Jr. started talking about the Obama administration, explaining that his administration began the separation of minors and their (alleged) parents.

Soboroff claimed it wasn’t true.

But it was the truth, indeed.

Trump Jr. said that he expected nothing less from the network but lies and propaganda, even now. He told Soboroff that he couldn’t wait to spread lies about Donald Trump even hours after an assassination attempt. He then told him to get lost.

According to a 2018 report, the policy of zero tolerance for individuals who entered the US illegally was put into effect by then-President Trump. This policy involved the separation of children from their parents.  After six weeks of widespread public outcry, Trump issued an executive order in June 2018 to repeal the policy, which had been in effect from April until that point. The regulation reportedly affected over 2,700 kids.

However, Trump housed children at the border in facilities that were constructed under the Obama-Biden administration. According to the reports, chain-link ‘cages’ were seen within border facilities. They provided temporary housing for illegal migrants, who were divided by age and sex.

Pictures of kids in cages went viral at the height of the uproar over Trump’s policy at the border. However, according to the news sources, the images were captured in 2014 by The Associated Press and showed children detained by President Barack Obama without their parents.

Reports revealed last year that over 85,000 children brought into the United States were unaccounted for by the Biden administration.
