Disney Partners With Leftist Influencer To Push Apparel

The Walt Disney Company has collaborated with Seann Altman, who identifies as gender fluid, to showcase women’s apparel on its Disney Style TikTok channel, which boasts over 260,000 followers.

Seann Altman recognized as a transgender influencer, took part in a promotional TikTok video for Disney Style. This channel showcases “Disney-inspired DIY projects, outfit tutorials, makeup, and other things dedicated to Disney art & fashion.” There is also a YouTube channel with the same name, having over 530,000 subscribers.

According to Breitbart, Altman, who identifies as “gender fluid,” participated in promoting a clothing set, with a Minnie Mouse theme including yellow pumps, a red dress, and a red hair bow. Altman posted a video on his page with over 717,000 subscribers, showing himself dressing up and applying makeup. This video attracted 865,000 views.

Altman expressed his joy in the video, stating, “Minnie is ME! I fit right in with Mickey and his friends!” and “I look like Minnie Mouse!”

Additionally, Altman often shares about his father’s involvement in his modeling of women’s clothing. A pinned post on Altman’s Twitter page depicts his father taking pictures of him in a rose-petal-covered dress for Valentine’s Day. A Father’s Day post by Altman on TikTok included appreciation for his father’s support, emphasizing the importance of accepting children as they are.

In other related news, Disneyland faced accusations in May 2023 of having an employee, appearing to be a man in a dress with a mustache, welcome children at a fantasy boutique named the “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.” This luxury store, offering experiences for children between the ages of 3 and 12, includes “magic mirrors,” hair styling, and makeup application.
A video shared on Twitter captured the employee, dressed in makeup and feminine attire, introducing himself as Nick, one of the fairy godmother’s apprentices, and offering to assist with selections for the day.

The video, which seems to be a genuine Disney Style advertisement, has elicited mixed reactions. Todd Starnes has stated that Disney has attempted to separate itself from allegations of “grooming.” However, some believe the video promotes beauty and inclusiveness, attributes often associated with Disney’s brand.

Despite these views, others stress the importance of maintaining distinct gender roles. They argue that blurring these lines may confuse children who might not be prepared to navigate complex gender concepts. This concern has become particularly relevant in the context of Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill. This issue has recently entangled Disney, given its relationship with its home state through Disney World.
